Maverick Boat Group Owners’ Tournament & Rendezvous

May 14th -17th, 2026 | Islamorada, FL

Get ready for an unforgettable weekend on the water!

Join fellow Maverick Boat Group owners in the heart of the Florida Keys for a one-of-a-kind funament & rendezvous during the peak of the Keys’ fishing season. Set against some of the most iconic fishing & boating grounds in the country, this weekend is about time on the water, great company, and making the most of everything our boats are built to do.

This is a family-friendly event by design. While anglers run offshore or slip into the backcountry, non-anglers and families can enjoy group snorkeling excursions, laid-back sandbar time, and on-water adventures led by ambassadors Clay & Stephanie Cowart of Life By The Bow. Whether you’re chasing silver kings or soaking up the Keys lifestyle, there’s something for everyone.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Killer fishing! Whether you’re hunting tarpon, heading offshore, or fishing in between, this legendary Florida Keys coast fishery has it all. Compete alongside fellow Maverick, Hewes, Pathfinder, and Cobia owners in our “funament” to win raffle tickets for great prizes and bragging rights. Will you be the Master Angler this year?
  • Good times! Snorkeling, sandbar, and so much more. Relax, connect, and celebrate with fellow owners in a beautiful waterfront setting.
  • Epic food! People travel from all over the world to experience the food at Three Waters!
  • Something for everyone! If the whole crew isn’t into fishing, don’t let them be discouraged. While some fish, others can enjoy local shops, beaches and group excursions, then meet up for a fantastic dinner at the end of the day.

FAQs

Do I have to stay at Three Waters in order to participate?

No, while we’ve negotiated very competitive rates and hope that you’ll enjoy the camaraderie of staying with the group at Three Waters, you may stay elsewhere if preferred.

Where is the captain’s meeting and awards ceremony banquet?

Three Waters Resort, Sunrise Beach Tiki, 84001 Overseas Hwy, Islamorada, FL 33036

May I bring guests to the captain’s meeting and award banquets who don’t plan on fishing?

Yes, see the registration form for Non-fishing Guest ticket, which will include the Captain’s Meeting reception on Thursday night and the Awards Banquet on Saturday.

Is there a secure place to keep my boat and trailer during the nights of the event?

Yes, secure parking will be provided by Three Waters Resort & Marina. Please contact Three Waters Marina for more info or book your slip online.

What is the closest boat ramp to Tarpon Lodge?

There is a ramp on the Three Waters Resort & Marina property for those with a wet slip – please coordinate launch with the marina.

Who is eligible to fish in this tournament?

Owners of Maverick, Hewes, Pathfinder, and Cobia boats and their guests.

Does this tournament have a cash payout?

No. Trophies will be awarded to the top lady angler, youth angler and overall top scorer. In addition, raffle tickets will be awarded to each angler in proportion to their overall score. We’ll also be recognizing our non-fishing boats for participating in group events (Higher score = more raffle tickets = greater chance to win great raffle items.)

If I’m from out of town, how will I know where to fish and at what time according to the tides?

Local MBG Pro Staff members will be on hand at the captain’s meeting to discuss the wheres and hows of fishing the area.

I don’t typically fish tournaments. Why should I fish this one?

We like to refer to these as Funamants. They are more about fun, family, good food, and getting together with fellow MBG owners than competitive fishing. Every angler receives at least one raffle ticket and is eligible to win any of our great raffle prizes.

When do ticket sales end?

Last day to buy tickets will be April 15, 2026
